Splainitome - Explaining It to You

Sometimes the only way to understand a topic is to dive right in, and delve to the very pits of the subject. This is what Splainitome is all about. Each subject we broach will have several articles about the subject tied together by a unifying article. We will also endeavor to make a list of resources that will help the visitor on to further reading.

The interlocking nature of information in our universe will also allow us to tie together the various strands. One subject necessarily leads to another, and to yet another. If the whole of information is 'interlocking' as we say, then the model for putting information together could be the puzzle. Which is fortunate, because the human mind is so attracted to puzzle solving, from the murder mystery to the sudoku in the local newspaper. We have gaps in our knowledge and this is why we seek information.

Information is also thought to have a tree structure. This is largely because we humans organize it in this way for easier control and management. Splainitome is true to that form here, beginning with articles of a general nature and delving ever more deeply into them. But like a real tree, branches will cross, knots will form. Climbing the tree will not always be as simple as we would like, but it will always be an adventure. One nice thing about climbing this tree, if we happen to fall, we won't be breaking any bones - though perhaps a few limbs.

Eventually we plan to add search functionality, etc.

Spices can be used as a supplement to the diet and with proper use can improve both health and lifestyle. At the same timewater filters can go a long way to improving lifestyle and preventing disease. But in a more immediate time frame vital knowledge that could help save a life is first aid.

The subjects we wrote about above are completely random, yet we found a way to tie them together into groups, even to make a coherent paragraph of the subjects themselves. However we did run into one topic that defied our natural flow of information. But this subject stands out like a bit of color in a field of green. Rather like the main character in the G.K. Chesterton book, "The Napoleon of Notting Hill." Hey, what a coincidence. Napoleon is our oddball subject. Thus, we dive into the great man theory of history and specifically with regard to Napoleon Bonaparte.
